Square has removed the programming interface we use to integrate the Registroid with the Square app.

We won't change the way the [Square] tender key works immediately, since not all of our users have updated to the latest Square app.
We suggest you switch to VeriFone's SailPay processing. They will send you a free swipe device, sign up is free, and they provide telephone support.

Registroid Pro:

1. In the Keyboard maintenance screen, delete the current [Square] key.
2. Add the "Tender 4" key to the same place where the Square key was.
3. From the Settings->Default screen, scroll to the Ext. Tender 4 App input box.
4. Enter "com.squareup" (Make sure it's all in lower case)
5. Change the Tender 4 name to "Square"
Touch the [Save] button on the bottom of the screen.

Skip past the Registroid Cloud instructions.

Registroid Cloud:

1. From one of your devices, go into the Keyboard define screen and delete the current [Square] key.
2. Add the "Tender 4" key to the same place where the [Square] key was.
3. Touch the Settings tab.
4. Scroll down to the Definable Tender 4 name.
5. Change the Tender 4 name to "Square"
6. Enter "com.squareup" in the Tender 4 Ext. App Name (Make sure it's all in lower case)
7. Back out to the main Register screen

To use the new "Square" tender key:

1. Enter a sale, and press [Subtotal].
2. Remember the sale amount.
3. Touch the new [Square] button to run the Square app.
4. Enter the amount in Square and process the credit card.
5. When done, press and hold the [Home] button. Touch the "Registroid Cloud" (or "Registroid Pro") screen in the recent apps.
6. Touch the new [Square] button again to finalize the sale, or touch another tender key is the card was not authorized.

We're sorry for this inconvenience, but it's out of our control.
